We are students at the University of Utah. We're amazed and very happy for your success. We are curious though after reading a report that said you used a disposable camera. Is this accurate? We imagine it would actually be a digital device after watching the time lapse video. Incredible footage by the way! It's great to be able to recognize that we dont need to rely on big government grants and think tanks to progress in our understanding in the world we live in; a trend I hope catches on :)

Hey, just do what the lawn chair balloon guy did in California. He packed a ham sandwich and a BB gun and floated up in a lawnchair with balloons. A passing jetliner reported him to the FAA.

Congratulations guys. Job well done. When I see individuals do something like this, it really gets me excited about science and space exploration again. With all the talk about discontinuing the Space Shuttle next year and decommissioning the International Space Station within ten years or so, it's encouraging to see that people are doing things like this on their own. If the United States doesn't get their act together and approve the funding for NASA so that they can continue with the Constellation program, we may never get back to the Moon and someday to Mars. We'll be looking back one day and wonder why we just stood by and watched China establish a presence on the lunar surface.

I think organizations like the X-Prize and Virgin Galactic serve an extremely important role in the future of SpaceFlight. I really believe that once there is a way for the common man or woman to go into space in a way that is safe and relatively cost effective, we will really start to see things take off in the commercialization of space in a really big way. The limited budgets and red tape that government agencies like NASA have to deal with will never make spaceflight practical for the rest of us. I don't mean to get on my soapbox here and I know I'm talking about things that are way beyond the feat that you guys accomplished, but that doesn't detract from what you did. You should be proud of your achievement and I hope that this will encourage others to follow in your footsteps. So go out there and take it up another notch guys. Best of luck.
